Tamblyn Borton - Project Manager and Animal Welfare Advocate

Tamblyn Borton is a seasoned Project Manager and Environmental Consultant with a career that spans public service, infrastructure development, and environmental policy. Over the years, she has worked on projects across the United States, and has contributed to areas such as land use planning, environmental compliance, and infrastructure permitting. Alongside her professional work, Tamblyn Borton has maintained a long-standing interest in animal welfare and equestrian care.

Throughout her career, Ms. Borton has held positions with organizations including the U.S. Coast Guard Civil Engineering Unit, the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency, and the California Energy Commission. Her responsibilities have included preparing environmental permits and ensuring adherence to federal and state regulatory frameworks such as the National Environmental Policy Act. She also served as a Permitting Supervisor at Star Construction, where she coordinated telecommunications infrastructure projects and managed communication among engineers, agencies, and construction teams.

Ms. Borton earned a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She also earned a Master of Science in Urban Planning from California State University, San Jose, where she contributed to establishing the Institute for Metropolitan Studies. Now semi-retired and based in Burlington, Kentucky, she works as a Consultant and Equine Farm Specialist. Outside of work, she focuses on animal rescue initiatives and is developing a nonprofit organization called Larry’s House to provide care for older and injured cats.
